The 8,500-acre Stainton Estate lies in the picturesque Lincolnshire Wolds to the north of Market Rasen and offers exceptional and picturesque topography across steep valleys, shelter-belts, coverts and hanging woods.

The shoot has been in existence for over a century and now offers a small number of partridge and pheasant days throughout the season to teams appreciative of high birds shown in spectacular scenery.

Conservation remains a core value of the Estate, with significant areas being planted to conservation crops so as to benefit invertebrates and wildlife.  This enhances the shoot and the wider environment, resulting in large numbers of at-risk species such as grey partridge, lapwing and woodcock.  The Estate has received a number of awards in recognition of its environmental works including the Silver Lapwing Award and the JAS Martin Grey Partridge Award.

Whilst a large Estate, the shoot retains a relaxed informal family atmosphere.Days are hosted in-house by the Estate Manager or a deputy.

Hospitality is core to maintaining our reputation for enjoyable days and high-quality hearty lunches, elevenses, tea and drinks are provided.

Shooting at Stainton offers the opportunity to discover the wide open spaces of the Lincolnshire Wolds combined with exceptional sport.
